I Said I Would Never Let This Happen

When Dawson was a baby I took tons of pictures of him. In fact, our computer is filled with folder after folder of Dawson pictures. Cooper on the other hand has only one folder designated to photo's of just him. Before I had my second child people warned me that this would happen and I said I would never let it. Little did I know how busy life with two little ones would be. Alas, I realized the other day that I have failed to post Cooper's 7 & 8 month updates. So, here we go, I figured I better do it before it's time to post his 9 month picture! These posts are mainly for my benefit, there's no way I'd remember all these little details for Cooper's baby book!

7 months

Weight: 17. 5 bls (aprx)
New Things: He has started solid foods. He has tried rice, wheat & barley cereal, bananas, apples, green beans, peas and corn. So far banana is his favorite.
Newest Trick: He has become a pro at rolling over and uses this new trick to move around the room.
Tooth: He now has his bottom 2 front teeth.

Favorite Toy: His excersaucer

The Favorite Excersaucer

Cooper's first taste of real food, rice cereal. (He wasn't too sure what to think)

8 Months
Weight: 19lbs.

Eating: Banana is still by far his favorite and he's learning to eat it on his own thanks to the "Sassy Teething Feeder" (love this). He has now tried egg yolk, pork, and kidney beans. He actually burst into tears when I fed him kidney beans, definitely not a fan!

Sitting: He is learning to sit on his own, but still needs a bit of assistance and pillows in case he falls over.

Favorite toys: Anything big brother is playing with. (Big brother is not such a fan of this)

Favorite Time of Day: when daddy gets home from work. I love watching him giggle and smile whenever Dave walks in the door.

Favorite Game: He loves it when you mimic the sounds he makes.

Another visit to the doctor: It's seems that every time he catches a head cold it turns into a chest cold. Now he has 2 inhalers, one to use when he has a bad cough and one for if he has difficulty breathing (thankfully we haven't had to use this one yet). The doctor says he is showing some signs that he may be prone to asthma, but there's really no way of knowing yet.

Time To Catch Up...

The last month or so has been busy with activity, but unfortunately I've had very little time to blog any of it. So, because I'm getting behind, here's a little photo montage to get you all caught (because I know your just dying to know what we've been up to lately)!

Another trip to the zoo, this time with Auntie Becky, Uncle Trevor & Auntie Rachel.

After the zoo, T&R took us for our first Korean food experience, yummy!

Surprise

Several weeks ago, the boys and I decided to visit my dad on his birthday. We, along with my sister-in-law and her kids, decided to surprise Grandpa at work. He was definitely surprised and thrilled to be able to show off all five of his grandchildren! We took grandpa for coffee and then later that day met for a birthday supper at my parent's house.

Go Daddy Go!

Several weeks ago Dave's hockey team had a tournament and we went to watch a game. This is the only time of year the boys and I can catch a game, because they are normally so late at night. Dawson was so excited to watch Daddy play hockey. He was also thrilled to see the Zamboni clean the ice. Here are a few pictures from the game.

Dawson got to go out onto the ice at the end of the game!

Dawson was in heaven eating his bunny cookies and watching his favorite sport!

This picture just makes me laugh! Who dresses that boy?!

An Evening Audrey Style

Becky loves Audrey Hepburn, she has for years. Not only is Breakfast At Tiffany's one of her favorite movies , she also received a Tiffany's engagement ring!! So what better way to celebrate her upcoming wedding than with a night out Audrey Hepburn Style. The Thursday before the wedding we surprised Becky with a Breakfast at Tiffany's themed supper and lingerie shower (complete with Tiffany's blue decor and 50's glamour style apparel), followed by dessert at RedStone and ending the evening off with a steam at Totally Refreshed Steam and Spa.

Spring???

On Friday, Trevor, Rachel, the boys and I took advantage of the warm weather and went puddle jumping (well Dawson did)! Trevor took some great shots of Dawson enjoying the water and posted them on their blog. Click on the link below to check them out. Also, they posted some pictures from the wedding that you'll definitely want to see!
