Today was my last day of day home. It's definitely a bittersweet thing. Although I am really looking forward to having more free time to spend with Dawson, I know he is going to miss having his playmates over 3 days a week. Over the past nine months it has been neat watching the kids develop and reach milestones, but most of all it's been fun watching them become the best of friends. Thankfully our families are all good friends and are planning to get together for lots of play dates!
Look how much they've grown up....

False Alarm!!
For those of you who are interested in what is going on with pregnancy #2 ,I thought you might like to know about the little adventure that we have had the past couple of days! For those of you who care not to hear about pregnancy stories, then feel free to skip this post!
On Sunday morning, I woke up with a feeling of pressure and cramping in my lower belly . I have had this on and off throughout pregnancy and usually it lasts for only a few hours, followed by a tummy growth spurt a few days later. But, by 7:30pm that night the feeling had not gone away. I decided to call health link and the nurse said I should go in, just to make sure I wasn't going into preterm labour. So off we went. The doctor checked me out, said I wasn't having contractions, but that my cervix was starting to thin. He wanted to keep me in over night so they could do an ultrasound in the morning and the OBGYN could observe me, as well. Thankfully the ultrasound came back good and the OBGYN said my cervix is dilating a bit, but isn't as thin as what they thought. Because I'm already 33 weeks they said I should just take it easy for the next month, thankfully I don't have to go on bed rest! Just in case I do go into preterm labour they have taken some early precautions, like wonderful steroid shots that are supposed to speed up the babies lung development. Dave said he couldn't believe the size of the needle that went into my arm, I chose not to look! I told Dave after all this hassle the last few days the baby will probably end up being 10 days late!! But, I'm still thinking I should maybe get the nursery ready, haven't done that yet! I am still feeling some pressure in my lower belly, but it seems like as long as I don't overdue it I feel pretty good. So for the next few weeks taking it easy is the plan. I would really like to avoid having a preemie!

At The Fair
Last weekend, we took Dawson to Westerner Days for the first time. Our main reason for attending was that Franklin the Turtle was performing! Dawson has some Franklin books and occasionally watches the cartoon, so we figured he might enjoy getting to see him live. Dawson was pretty non-emotional throughout the whole performance, he just sat back and took it all in! For him the highlight of the whole fair was the big sprinkler they had set up on the grounds, he thought it was great!

Our Family Is Famous!
You'll notice on the side bar of our blog is a link to Trevor and Rachel's blog. (Dave's sister and her hubby). They have been living in South Korea for the past couple years and have had some amazing adventures! In our opinion their blog is amazing, full of great stories and beautiful pictures. Turns out we aren't the only ones to think that! Check out their latest post for more details!

32 Weeks!
Hard to believe but I am now 32 Weeks pregnant! I had a doctors appointment on Friday and everything is looking good. I am measuring at about 29 weeks, so a little smaller than average, but I tend to catch right up in the last 2 months!

The Last week
Here's what we've been up to in the past week....
Last Saturday I took Dawson to Three Hills for the parade. He enjoyed hanging out with his cousins, but wasn't too sure what to think about the whole parade thing!
On Thursday Dawson discovered his winter boots on the top shelf of his closet. He was fascinated by them and insisted on wearing them for most of the day, despite the warm temps!
Stuck!! The other day I sent Dawson out to play in the back yard. Suddenly, I heard strange whimpering sounds. I stuck my head out the door only to find that Dawson had climbed under the stairs of the deck to retrieve a ball. Instead of going out the way he came in, he chose to try a new route, which resulted in getting a little stuck! Thankfully mom was there to come to his rescue, well after she took a few pictures!!

Fernie
This past weekend we went to Fernie with the Peters side of the family! We had a great time together, despite the fact that none of the kids slept that well and Dawson caught some sort of 12 hour stomach bug! Here are a few highlights....

Little Soldier
Yesterday, I was busy preparing supper and Dawson was running around the yard. When I went to check on him I found him marching around with this plant pot on his head! Needless to say he definitely needed a bath that night!
