The Princess and the Pirate Ship! Family Vacation 2009

A couple weeks ago, we headed down to Seattle for Dave's cousin Richard's wedding. After the wedding we spent a couple days at the Oregon Coast with Dave's parents, and Trevor and Rachel. It was a lot of driving and activity for one week, but the boys did really well! Here are a few highlights from the trip.....

Pit Stop # 1 The Spiral Tunnels

A bit hard to see, but this is all one long train

Lunch Break at Revelstoke Train Museum

The Wedding, held in Seattle at the DAR: Rainier Chapter House.

Appetizers were served on the veranda

The Bride: When Dawson saw her coming up the stairs he turned to me and said "Look Mommy a Princess". He was enamoured with her the whole evening.

The boys relaxing on the lawn after the ceremony

The Happy Couple : Richard and Gillian Phillips

The boys got to jam with the drummer at the dance!

Dawson's first time at the ocean!!! (he was just a little excited)

The trip home: The World's Biggest Dump Truck- Sparwood, BC

Dawson loved this so much that when it was time to leave he said goodbye to the dump truck and proceeded to embrace the tire!

9 Months Old

Wow, hard to believe Cooper has already reached and passed the nine month mark, time truly flies! Here's what he's been up to the past month:

Weight: 19 1/2 lbs.

Sitting: He has mastered the art of sitting on his own and very rarely tumbles over.

Chompers: He has 7 teeth, 4 on the top and 3 on the bottom!

Red Head: He is slowly getting more hair and so far it has remained red! Who'd have thought Dave and I would have a red head!!

First Words: Mamma. I think it's a little early for first words, but whenever he is tired, in need of a cuddle, or milk he says "mummm mummm", so I'd say that counts!

Favorite foods: Baby Rice Biscuits, he's crazy for them.

Spring Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago, we took the boys for a spring photo shoot! Our photographer, Uncle Trevor, did a fantastic job! There were so many great shots, but I narrowed it down to a few of my absolute favorites!

Cooper (nine months old)

Dawson (2 1/2 years old)

2 little monkeys

Fun on the slide with Kimchi and Auntie Rachel

Children's Festival

This past Friday, my friend Heidi and I took the kids to our city's annual Children's Festival. We first took Sophi and Dawson two years ago, when they were just little peanuts! I think they both had fun, despite the cooler temperatures! Princess Sophia and her Knight in Shining Armour

Cooper's favorite, the Duplo Station

Sophia dressed as Granny for the Little Red Riding Hood relay

Dawson playing "Grocery Man"

Painting at Box City

I was shocked Dawson let someone touch his face, much less paint on it! He was thrilled with the results, but devastated when he discovered that his puppy face had washed off in the bath!
