So Long Preschool???

Over the past few weeks,  Cooper has mentioned several times that Nixon can take his spot in preschool, because he is ready to go to Dawson's school.   I told him that he needs to work a little more on his letters and numbers and then he will be ready to go.

I have been using the Hand Writing Without Tears program with him the past six months.  It's a great program for preschoolers, especially boys.  Looks like his hard work has paid off because this is what he accomplished today.  He is so proud of himself.  To him this is like a ticket to ride on the big yellow bus!  Way to go Coop!

Kids Say The Craziest Things.....

Our boys have all been very entertaining as of late, here's just a few examples.....

 Big D:

D:  Mom, can you go on Youtube and type in how to tie your shoes?
Mom:  Why do you want me to do that?
D: Because I want to learn how to tie my shoes and that's how you do it.
Mom:  Well when I was a kid I didn't have Youtube to teach me that.
D:  What did you use, google?
Mom:  No my parents taught me
D: Really?

(hilarious, but a little scary to think how much technology has influenced our kids)
_________

Middle C:

C: Mom do heights exist in real life?
Mom:  Yes they do honey.
C: Oh, well I'm pretty sure I'm scared of them.
Mom:  What are heights?
C: I think they are a kind of spider!

Little N:

Lately he's been coming up with the most interesting ways to tell me he is awake from his nap.

N: Knock, Knock (shouting from his crib)
Mom:  Who's there?
N: Poopy
Mom:  Poopy who?
N: Poopy stinky!
(and it most definitely was)

N: Cock-a-doodle-doo, cock-a-doodle-doo
Mom:  Are you ready to get out of bed (I proceed to go to his room to get him out of his crib)
N:  Cock-a-doodle-doo, good morning chicken mommy!

Welcome September

Hi everyone, we are back!  Back after what turned out to be a rather busy summer.  I will be posting some of our summer adventures soon.   First I thought I better post some first day of school pictures because I know there are a few of you who have been waiting for those! So here they are....

Grade One here I come!!!

The little boys insisted I take a picture of them too!

First bus ride.  I love, love, love the bus.  It has made my mornings so much less hectic now that I only have to get one out the door first thing.  Dawson loves it too.

First day of preschool for Cooper.  He is going to the same preschool Dawson did and is loving it!

 and in other news......

Not wanting to be upstaged by his big brothers Nixon also had a big first last week.

"I poop potty"  (he's very proud of himself)

Watching the boys grow and reach all these new stages is so much fun!

In the past month and a half Dawson has reached some big milestones, the first being graduating Kindergarten!  Here are a bunch of photos highlighting the day.

 Family Shot

 Auntie Becky and cousin Hudson

 Auntie Rachel and cousin Sawyer

Mrs. Shultz (PHS grads will remember her as Donelda Urqhart) the best Kinder teacher ever!

 Some of Dawson's best buddies
Dawson with Emiko and Sophie, great friends since birth.  It doesn't seem that long ago that we were praying for their arrival.

 Grandpa and Grandma Peters

And the second big milestone reached was a visit from the Tooth Fairy!  Here is Dawson showing off his new smile and shiny loonie!

Cooper and the Decker-Decker Bus

Today, Cooper and his best buddy Ollie went on a great adventure.  Ollie's dad is friends with the owner of this awesome coffee shop on wheels.   The bus was being moved to a new location and the boys got to go for a cruise.   Cooper loves "decker- decker" buses but I don't think he'd ever dreamed he'd actually get to ride in one!  When Dawson found out about Cooper's adventure the first thing he asked was, "Did it feel like you were driving in London?"  Cooper said, "yep it did."  Thanks Brian for including Cooper on this adventure and taking this great picture of the boys together.
