Mr. Dressup

Lately, Dawson has become a little Mr. Dressup. He loves to try to dress himself and his stuffed animals. This was an interesting little outfit he put together!

Sunshine Finally!

This past week it was finally hot enough to bring out the water toys, hooray!!

Happy 50th!!!

This past weekend we had a big birthday bash in honour of Dave's Mom's 50th birthday! Looking good "great" grandma
(Wanda brought a special outfit for Cindy to wear to her party!)

Dawson staring in awe at his grandma's transformation

Dawson helping grandma blow out all her candles. As soon as grandma put him near the cake he said "hot" and he was right 50 candles do generate a lot of heat!

A Whirlwind

Saying goodbye to our first home
(I was so glad the cherry tree bloomed before we left)

The place we now call home!!

A whirlwind is really the only way I can describe how the last week and a half has been.

So, I bet your wondering how the move went? Very smoothly, thanks to the help of our family, my parents, Dave's parents, and Mark (Becky's boyfriend), to be specific. We were incredibly blessed by their willingness to help us and trust me we worked them hard. I'm sure they were exhausted when everything was over! Thank you so much you guys! We have been in the new place for almost a week and a half and finally it is starting to feel like home. Dawson has transitioned very well and is so proud to show off his new room whenever people come to visit.

This past week also brought some very unexpected and somewhat stressful moments as well. Last week my Grandpa Rachar was admitted to the Red Deer hospital and things were not looking good. His kidney dialysis was not working well and because of this (and possibly a small stroke) he had slipped into a state of delirium. It was very difficult to see him in this condition and I kept praying that if he did not come out of this mental state, that God would take him quickly. Living in such a state of confusion is not living at all, it's suffering. Well, God definitely did answer our prayers! To our shock and amazement Grandpa woke up Thursday morning and it was like a light had turned on, he was back! Still incredibly weak, but his mind was so clear!! He was playing with Dawson, asking me about the new house and joking around with everyone who came to visit. Grandpa told me he remembers being so sick that Tuesday night and that all of his family was around him. He said, "I was sure I was going to die that night and I thought that would be great, then all of this suffering would be over, but I just wished I could bring all of my family with me." Right now Grandpa is still in the hospital here, but is expected to go home within the next day or so. We are all so thankful to God for giving us a bit more time with him, it is truly a gift!

So, unfortunately with all that has happened we are still up to our eyeballs in boxes and clutter. But, hopefully by the end of this week things will be back to normal!
