Last Friday, I attended a photography workshop put on by my friend Shauna. After the workshop, my friend Angela and I, felt inspired and decided to get together to take some pictures of our kids. I got a new camera as a birthday/Christmas gift and have been wanting to try taking some more "posed" type shots, but have been intimidated by all the different settings and such. Thanks to Shauna I decided to go for it and I think the results turned out pretty good for a first try!
Yesterday, Dawson got to spend most of the day with daddy. Dave had some errands to run for work in the morning and he had told Dawson the night before that he could come along. Dawson was so excited to go to "work" with dad that he got up ,picked out his own clothes and dressed himself. Then he proceeded to go to his bathroom and "shave" (really he just rubbed Vaseline all over his face). He then woke Dave up and told him it was time to leave. After a hard days work they went to McDonald's for lunch and then the Motorcycle Show! Here's a few pictures of Dawson sporting his souvenir from the show.
Last Saturday, we took a trip to the zoo with Mark and Becky. The boys always love the zoo. This time was especially fun for Cooper because not only is he walking now, he's running!

Mommy: "So Dawson did you have fun at Sunday School this morning."
Dawson: "Yep"
Mommy: "So what did you learn about?"
Dawson: "We talked about Jesus and the Bean stock and how Jesus is a big giant that goes Fe Fi Fo Fum"

This dialogue occurred as we were unpacking our nativity scene. Dawson removed the baby Jesus from the box and placed it on the carpet in front of him. Gazing down at the baby in the manger he said, " Oh baby Jesus, you are such a cutie, cutie, cutie!" He then proceeded to play a game of peek-a-boo with the figurine!!

Dawson: "Mommy what happened to your eyes?"
Mommy: "Nothing, is there something wrong with them"
He then proceeds to run his finger under my eyes and along the sides.
Dawson: "Their cracking like an egg"
(I'm thinking I need to start using eye cream, yikes I'm only 30)
