Trucks and Trees

Our boys love trucks. (I don't know a little boy who doesn't) So, the past couple of days have been especially eventful for Dawson and Cooper.
On Tuesday morning, Uncle Mark stopped by. Mark is a Lacombe County Cop. He came dressed in uniform and driving his police truck. Dawson got to sit in the truck and turn on the lights. When he saw those flashing lights all he could say was, "oh wow, look at that". He was clearly impressed!
This morning we had a visit from another truck. This time a Monster Truck (as Dawson would call it) technically it's called Unimog. This Truck belongs to a tree moving company and we had them come in to move a tree in order to make room to park our Trailer.

Conversations With A Two Year Old

This is a conversation I overheard between Dawson and Cooper (okay Dawson did all the talking) while they were playing in the living room.

Dawson: "You're my bestest baby. I bought you from the baby store. You came in a box just like the Igglepiggle we bought from the grocery store. You were really heavy."

Just in case you were wondering where babies came from, now you know!!

Trouble With A Capital "T"

There is never a dull moment around our house...

Last Saturday morning, Dave and I awoke to some ruckus coming from the kitchen. When I went downstairs this is what I found. I said, "Dawson what do you think you are doing?" He replied, "Hi mommy, I'm making a pirate ship cake. My birthday's coming real, real soon!"

What a turkey!
And Cooper is not far behind him. This is his latest trick....

Is There Anything Cuter....

Then little boys in matching Superman PJ's!!! These ones were made with love by Grandma Peters!

Parties, Parties

On the 19th, we had some of Dave's family over to celebrate Cooper's first birthday! Cooper thoroughly enjoyed all of the attention, not to mention the cake!

Cooper and his turtle pull apart cake (made from cupcakes, gotta love Betty Crocker)
Now this boy loves his sweets

He was definitely the center of attention

And More Parties

The weekend following Cooper's birthday, my Aunt and Uncle hosted a little family reunion at their beautiful new house. We took this opportunity to celebrate Cooper's birthday with the Peters/Rachar side of the family! It was a great weekend filled with visiting, dirt biking, horseback riding, and eating!! Thanks Darryl and Laurie for hosting! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Cooper's Farmyard cake!
He clearly enjoyed it
